Chemical Composition/Ingredients
The GHS is an acronym for The Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals. The GHS is a system for standardizing and harmonizing the classification and labelling of chemicals. Chemicals are associated with codes that define their health, physical and environmental hazards. This universal hazard communication system was developed to ensure that employers, employees and consumers are provided with adequate, practical, reliable and comprehensible information on the hazards of chemicals, so that they can take effective preventive and protective measure for their own health and safety.

Acute health effects
From MSDS Inhalation: Vapors may cause slight irritation to the mucous membranes, high concentrations may cause CNS depression. Eye Contact: May cause mild to severe eye irritation. Avoid contact with eyes. Skin Contact: Product is practically nonirritating to the skin. Prolonged exposure may cause defatting and drying of the skin which can result in skin irritation and dermatitis. Incidental contact with the skin is not harmful. Ingestion: Product is moderately toxic when ingested. Greater than nominal amounts can produce adverse medical symptoms and CNS depression. Medical Conditions Generally Aggravated by Exposure: This product can cause liver damage. This product, as with any chemical, may enhance allergic conditions in certain people. This product may, with overuse, cause skin drying and chapping in persons normally prone to this condition. This product does contain fragrance which may cause an allergic reaction in some individuals.. Supplemental Health Information: Hair sprays can cause adverse medical symptoms when ingested in greater than nominal amounts. The symptoms of overdosage from hairsprays resemble alcohol intoxication. Please keep these products as with any household product away from the reach of children. Persons on disulfiram (Antabuse) should be aware that this product is hazardous to them just as is alcohol from any source.

Chronic health effects
From MSDS Studies in laboratory rats involving prolonged and repeated exposure to ethyl alcohol have resulted in such effects as liver damage, embryotoxicity, fetotoxicity and teratogenicity.
-
Carcinogenicity
The manufacturer's Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) does not state whether the ingredients are considered carcinogens or potential carcinogens.
-
Handling information
From MSDS Keep in dry cool area, preferably 50-70 deg F and away from heat. Excess temperatures may cause the containers to rupture and creates a fire hazard.
-
